About us:

MC Elite Volleyball is a small club focused on growing volleyball in Southern Minnesota & Nothern Iowa. We have tryouts in November and start practcing at the end of November. We participate in 6-7 tournaments between January-March. We aim for 3-4 two day tournaments and 3-4 single day tournaments.

What age do I register for?

Please see the USAV guide for ages based on birthdate.

Where are you located?

We are mainly based out of Martin Luther High School in Northop, MN, but use Truman Public High School & GHEC High School for secondary practice locations. We participate in tournaments around the state of MN and surrounding states. We have played in Sioux City, WI Dells, Sioux Falls, the Twin Cities area and other areas within 4 hours of Martin County.

Is there transportation?

There is not transportation to practices or tournaments. Parents are expected to be responsible for how their daughter gets to practices and tournaments. With participating in tournaments up to 4 hours away and some being multiple day tournaments, there are occasions where a hotel stay is needed. This is also expected to be the responsibility of the parents.

If the parents cannot attend, then they must set up accommodations with another family on their players team.

What are the fees?

Tryout Fees are Non-Refundable for $40 per athlete.

Team cost for the 2026-2027 teams will remain the same as last year at $1075 per player. The team fee does NOT include players and family travel expenses, including hotel stays, transportation or food.

Fundraising will be available to help cover some costs.

I made a team last year, am I guaranteed a spot this year?

No. Due to our smaller size, we cannot guarantee spots for any athlete in the club season. We would love be able to have everyone make a team, but we do not have the capacity for that at this time. We host tryouts in the fall and we let you know if your athlete is offered a spot within a few days.

Can we participate in multiple sports?

MC Elite supports and encourages the multi-activity athlete. The demands of playing club volleyball are great, but our coaches and staff understand that these young woman love to be involved in their school, church and community. Our coaches just ask for really good communication by the player and parents on any conflicts that may arise during the season.

However, it should be noted that if there are excessive absences from practices by a player due to other activities, playing time may be reduced as these absences have the potential to affect the team dynamic.
